Our cottage is located on the mediterranean coast approximately 20 miles south of Tarragona and 75 miles south of Barcelona. The nearest airport is Reus which is only 12 miles away. 

It takes only 7 minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket and 10 minutes to the beach. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the city centre and to several pubs and restaurants.

Miami-Playa (Miami Platja) has beautiful bays and sand beaches. Moreover, you will find nice promenades, bars, good restaurants, supermarkets, butchers, banks, souvenir shops and interesting sporting possibilities.


Here a few examples of sporting activities:
  • riding school near the city
  • surfing school including pedal boat rent on the beach
  • surfing (strong winds mainly in spring and autumn)
  • sailing
  • crazy golf
  • golf course is only 5 miles away
  • mountainbiking and motorcycling (renting possible) in the nearby mountainous hinterland
  • sweet water fishing in the Ebro river (40 miles away)


A newly established harbour for boats and yachts can be found in Hospitalet del Infante which is less than a mile away. 

You can make several interesting trips to the surroundings of Miami. Historic sites such as the Augustus palace inTarragona, the roman aqueducts and the roman triumphal arch, the cathedral, the bishop palace (built 1316 A.C.) in Tortosa at the Ebro river, the old monasteries Poblet and Santes Creus and many more want to be visited and discovered.


If you are looking for diversion and fun, Salou wich is 12 miles away might be the right place for you. There you will find a vast variety of bars, pubs, discos, and the amusement park Port Aventura (Universal Studios). It offers the largest big dipper in Europe and many other atractions similar to Eurodisney in Paris. 


Go Karting for small and big racing drivers can be found in Camprils which is 6 miles away. 
Just in case you need a doctor, physicians and dentists can easily be found in Miami.
